Trash Collection

Residents of Harris County can call 1-800-207-2325 for debris
pickup. It must be separated from the regular trash and placed along
the public right of way at the curb. The county expects the
first round of pickups to take three weeks.
Storm debris

281-416-2662. Residents can drop off their storm debris at this
location
Other debris
drop off locations are open from 9am-7pm and drop offs are limited
to one pickup truck load or less per customer

Attention Residents:
Please note that as of Monday,
September 11, 2006, the District commenced using a new
residential solid waste disposal service, WCA Waste
Corporation ("WCA"). Your garbage collection days, Mondays
and Thursdays, have not changed.
The District's previous garbage collection service,
Republic Waste Services ("Republic"), requested a rate
increase from $8.49 per household to $13.77 per household.
Feeling that this rate increase was excessive, the Board of
Directors (the "Board") solicited bids and received bids
from three garbage companies, including Republic. Of the
three companies, WCA was the low bidder at $11.15 per
household. Accordingly, the Board felt that it was in the
best interest of its residents to terminate its agreement
with Republic and enter into a new agreement with WCA for
residential solid waste disposal service.
WCA features heavy trash service EACH
pick-up day, including, sofas, mattresses, hot water
heaters, washers & dryers, and refrigerators. Special
pick-up service for items not covered by the contract is
also available by calling in advance to 281-368-8397. WCA
observes six (6) holidays and will not pick-up on those days
as follows: New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day,
Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. A pick-up
missed due to the observance of one of the six (6) holidays
mentioned herein, will resume on the next regular scheduled
pick-up day, not the next day.
