Notice to Residents of Harris County MUD 368

The Board of Directors is aware of localized street flooding in some areas of the District. The Board and the District Operator are using all resources at our disposal to minimize any threat of flooding to our citizens and property so long as our operations personnel can work safely.

Flooding is not limited to just one subdivision or a few streets. It is more widespread than we have ever experienced. All pumps and facilities are operating properly, but the sheer volume of water is unprecedented.

This is a dangerous situation. The flooding is a regional issue of historic proportions. Please be safe and stay in place as recommended by Judge Emmett and Mayor Turner.

Please DO NOT put your trash cans out for any scheduled trash pickup until this event is over. Trash cans, lids, and trash bags float and are easily sucked into street drains. During the last flood, trash bags, trash cans and debris contributed to drainage issues in the District. We have been informed that some area landfills will be closed because of weather and some trash companies will not be picking up trash.

The District’s water and wastewater plants and systems are operating normally, and in the event power is lost generators are available on site to continue water and wastewater service.

Please share this with your neighbors who may not be on the eBlast distribution list or visit our website. If you would like to get email notices from the District, please sign up here.

Thank you and stay safe,
Board of Directors
